February 2021 – Deep Tech Leaders supports battery materials innovator, Nexeon, with the appointment of Dr Liya Wang as Chief Technology Officer.

Deep Tech Leaders is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Liya Wang as Chief Technology Officer of Nexeon, the UK battery materials innovator.

Dr Wang brings a strong background in battery and materials development, as well as wide international experience.  Most recently, he was VP of R&D at XG Sciences in the United States, leading the development of graphene-based materials for energy storage, thermal, electric, anti-corrosion and composite applications.  Previously, he served as Principal Scientific Director at CIC EnergiGUNE in Spain, where he led the development of advanced batteries and capacitors.    Dr Wang joins Nexeon as a senior member of the leadership team, reporting into Dr Scott Brown, Nexeon’s Chief Executive.
