About John Shaw:
John Shaw serves as Chief Operating Officer at Luffy AI, where he is responsible for advancing the company’s capabilities to meet the demands of top-tier customers in industrial controls, metals, chemicals, advanced materials, and robotics. With a Maths degree from Oxford and a Masters in AI from Imperial, John combines academic excellence with extensive industry experience. He spent 15 years at Sophos, where he helped the company grow, culminating in an IPO on the London Stock Exchange. He also served as Chief Product Officer at R3 and SquaredUp, leading engineering, cybersecurity, and product management. John’s background in transforming cutting-edge technologies into scalable global solutions makes him well-suited to drive Luffy AI’s growth and innovation.

Luffy AI develops adaptive neural networks that allow learning and adaption at the edge. Vehicles and robots operating in the real world are exposed to constant change in the environment and their bodies. The company develops adaptive neural control systems for autonomous systems in dynamic environments. Their first products are an adaptive AI flight controller for UAVs and an intelligent actuator controller for robotics & industrial processes.
